Arlington’s Rethink Energy team is offering home energy rebates for up to $575. The approved projects along with the Federal Tax Credits are as follows:
- $250 rebate – Water heaters (Federal Tax Credit = $300)
- $575 – Central air conditioners (Federal Tax Credit = $300), furnaces (Federal Tax Credit = $150), boilers (Federal Tax Credit = $150) and heat pumps (Federal Tax Credit = $300) including geothermal heat pumps (Federal Tax Credit = 30% of cost)
- 50% of your expenses (not including labor) up to $575 – air sealing and insulation but you must spend at least $200 (Federal Credit = 10% of the costs not including labor up to $500). This would include typical bulk insulation products such as batts, rolls, blow-in fibers, rigid boards, expanding spray, and pour-in-place.
